A Typical Meeting Our group uses the Native American practice known as "council sharing". Each person takes her turn speaking while the rest of the group listens without interrupting. She lights a candle to signify light and her temporary ownership of the floor. After she finishes the members of the circle do not rush in to offer advice. They wait until the speaker asks for it. We listen without judgement, we listen with an open heart. We respect each other's place in their own personal journey for self. |
